Announcements for Seniors

Graduating Seniors: Apply for Graduation & Get Your Diploma Photo QR Code!

You must apply for graduation by Thursday, February 15. If you do not intend to apply for the Spring 2024 graduation, you can update your expected graduation term.

Your CHSI Diploma Photo QR code is required for the on-campus diploma photoshoot in early March. Please follow these instructions and drop by the Registrar at N928 if you have any questions or difficulties with obtaining the QR code.

Spring 2024 Senior Capstone Project Funding

Academic Affairs, the Dean of Arts and Sciences (A & S) and, and the Dean of Computer Science, Data Science, and Engineering (CSDSE) have made funding available for expenses related to Senior Capstone Projects in any A & S or CSDSE major. Please see more information. Funding requests for Spring 2024 Senior Capstone Projects must be submitted to capstone.shanghai@nyu.edu no later than Thursday, February 15 at 5 PM.

Nomination for Summer Study at Lingnan University

Academic Affairs is preparing to nominate two students to participate in the summer program at Lingnan University (see Summer 2024 course list). The selected students are fully funded for tuition and accommodation plus an airfare subsidy of HK$5,000. Students may enroll in a maximum of two courses over the summer. While transfer credit will not be applied toward the NYU Shanghai degree, this can be an excellent opportunity to broaden your international and academic experience.

Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA or above. Submit your application by Monday, February 19, 5 PM. Nominated students will be notified on Friday, February 23.

Join the First-Year Fellowship Circle, an exclusive network designed to connect a select group of first-year students with a vibrant community of peer fellows. The first-year students will gain research and writing skills to develop a proposal for a project or initiative, connect with faculty mentors, alumni, and seniors to gain advice and learn how to integrate coursework, self-directed research, and external opportunities.

Charting Your Path

Schwarzman Scholarship

Application Deadline: May 20 | Application Instructions

Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is a one-year scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. The application for Chinese citizens to the Schwarzman Scholar program opens until May 20 (see admissions information). The global applicant period is from April to September. The program begins in August, 2025.

On-Campus Job Opportunities

The Center for Global Asia is seeking a research assistant to collaborate with reading primary historical sources and creating datasets to build a historical database. You will have the opportunity to participate in other research projects and acquire data management skills. See the detailed job description on Handshake (#8629318).
